On Marriage/論婚姻|The Prophet/先知

(Kahlil Gibran)

但是,請在你們相依的世界中保留些許空間,讓天堂的微風在你們之間舞動。彼此相愛,但不要讓愛成為枷鎖,讓愛像是你倆靈魂海岸之間流動的海洋;

斟滿彼此的杯子,但不要同飲一杯;彼此餵食麵包,但不要同吃一塊;

On Marriage

Kahlil Gibran
Then Almitra spoke again and said, And what of Marriage, master? And he answered saying: You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore. You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days. Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God. But let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another, but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other’s cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of your be alone, Even as the strings of the lute are alone though they quiver with the same music. Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping. For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.

On Marriage

Kahlil Gibran

Then Almitra spoke again and said, And what of Marriage, master?

And he answered saying:

You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.

You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.

Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.

But let there be spaces in your togetherness,

And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

Love one another, but make not a bond of love:

Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.

Fill each other’s cup but drink not from one cup.

Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.

Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of your be alone,

Even as the strings of the lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Your body language shapes who you are|Amy Cuddy—Ted026

姿勢決定你是誰!/Your body language shapes who you are 簡介: 身體語言影響別人對我們的觀感,亦改變我們如何看自己。 (NOTE: Some of the findings presented in this talk have been referenced in an ongoing debate among social scientists about robustness and reproducibility. Read "Corrections & Updates" below for more details as well as Amy Cuddy's response.) Body language affects how others see us, but it may also change how we see ourselves. Social psychologist Amy Cuddy argues that "power posing" -- standing in a posture of confidence, even when we don't feel confident -- can boost feelings of confidence, and might have an impact on our chances for success. So I want to start by offering you a free no-tech life hack, a...
